New Mobile Phone and Okta Verify Reset
Summary
This document provides a step-by-step guide on how to set up Okta Verify on a new or different mobile device.
Please note that you can only have this on one mobile device at a time.
Guide
Removing Okta from the old device
For this you will need to be logged into your work laptop, old mobile device and your new mobile device.
Open the below link and log in using your cccs.co.uk username and current password.
https://stepchange.okta-emea.com/
Click on your name in the top right corner of the screen and from the drop down select settings.
Click Edit profile and re-enter the requested details. This will bring you back to the settings page but you will now be able to make amendments.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and in the box titled Extra Verification click Remove.
Setting up Okta on the new device
It will now prompt you to ‘set up Okta Verify’.
Select this and follow the on-screen guide.
Key Step - Once you have scanned the QR Code the app will generate the 6-digit code – ENSURE you click next on the laptop screen and enter the current code showing in the app – if missed the set up will fail and you will need to start again (follow the steps from ‘removing okta from your old device’ but do this on the code you have just set up on the new phone).
