Return of Leaver IT Equipment to The Charity – Roles and Responsibilities


Line Managers are responsible for the safe return of IT equipment and to ensure it is returned in the condition they received it in. This includes but is not limited to, laptops, headsets, laptop bags, mobile phones (unlocked) and SIM cards


This is also included on the HR Leavers Notification Form (see below)

 

 

In the event you are unable to obtain Charity Supplied IT Equipment from the leaving colleague, this should be reported to HR immediately.


The Service Desk Manager should also be notified so the asset can be updated in the Charity Asset Register and be kept informed of all updates.


Once the asset is returned it will be updated in the asset register, tested, wiped clean and re-distributed to other colleagues as and when requested.

In the event you have secured a replacement colleague for your leaver and are providing them the returned equipment you should make the Service Desk aware so the asset can be updated in the asset register and recorded for future auditing purposes


The Service Desk have a specific form available in the Fresh Portal to record this reallocation
