You've informed us that your VPN connection is either slow, or keeps disconnecting. 


To troubleshoot these issues we need some more information from you. 


Please ensure you're disconnected from the VPN and run a speed check test on your home broadband. This can be done from this site:

Please record the download speed on the ticket, or include a screenshot. 


You can also provide us with a set of diagnostic logs. To do this:


  • Click on the Forticlient icon (The red shield) on the desktop
  • Click on 'About' in the left hand menu and then on 'Diagnostic Tool' in the top right:









The tool takes approx 1 minute to run, and will show a command window which ends with this prompt:




 


At this point, please connect to the VPN (if you don't already have a connection) and then disconnect by clicking on 'Remote Access' in the left hand menu and clicking 'Disconnect' in the centre window. Go back to the command window and press any key to complete the process. 




The results of this test get collated into a single file. Please click on the 'Attach Files' option at the bottom of the Fresh ticket window, then copy and paste this link into the file name box:

Click open to add the test result file to the ticket. 


Submit the ticket as usual.
