The Vine Online 


The Vine Online is an internally hosted WordPress site.  Internal Comms manage and look after the content of this site.  This resource is only available to users who are “on net” or connected via VPN.  Key contact for further information is Kimberley-Marie Sklinar within Internal Comms 

The server running WordPress is VMWRDPRO1APP01 on 172.16.1.66 which exists within the UCS VMware live cluster. 



Issues 

User(s) report the vineonline resource is down

    Check that they and you have basic network connectivity (ping) to 172.16.1.66 AND that  VMWRDPRO1APP01.cccs.co.uk resolves to this IP via an nslookup

    If no network response, engage Infrastructure.  Infrastructure engineer will need to connect via vSphere console to the server.  Current working solution to this issue is to disable the NIC within the OS, then re-enable. 

       

Permanent Solution 


Change the network adapter within VMware for this guest from E1000 to VMXNET3.  This is planned as part of wider remediation works as highlighted by Cways healthcheck.
