This Document covers the roles/responsibilities and process which should be followed when an employee leaves the charity and is in possession of Stepchange IT Equipment.
Return of Leaver IT Equipment to The Charity – Roles and Responsibilities
Line Managers are responsible for the safe return of IT equipment and ensuring it is returned in the condition the user received it in. This includes but is not limited to, laptops, headsets, laptop bags, mobile phones (unlocked) and SIM cards.
This is also stated on the Employee Leaver From (See Below). This form can be found on the mangers library.
In the event you are unable to obtain Charity Supplied IT Equipment from the leaving colleague you should report this to HR immediately and the Service Desk Team.
Assets should be returned to Service Desk who are based in the Leeds Office on Floor 2 (Opposite meeting room Byland 2.6).

Once the asset is returned the asset register will be updated.
FAQ’S
Q: I have a colleague who I would like to reallocate the laptop to what should I do?
A: Laptops can no longer be reallocated. Please Return the laptop to Service Desk who are located in the Leeds office on the second Floor. A replacement laptop will be issued for the user who needs one.
