Silent from Inception:


For calls that come in silent from the start, we would require the audio settings of the device to be checked on the machine and in Connect, resulting in a reboot of the machine if the audio device checks do not initially resolve the issue.

Should this not resolve the issue we should apply the below:



Disabling Exclusive Mode

1. In Windows, right-click the speaker icon and select Sounds.


2. Go to the Recording tab, right-click the headset, and click Properties.


3. Go to the Advanced Tab, find the Exclusive Mode section, de-select the "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device"     option, and click Apply.


4. Reboot your computer to enable this change to take effect.


5. Attempt to make another test call.

 The exclusive mode is set as on by default on all audio devices. This allows applications to take exclusive control over the audio device meaning that other devices cannot use the resource.
