1. Request an app pool refresh of Portal (VMSRVPRO1APP01 & VMSRVPRO1APP02) from Infrastructure; also request a restart on the following NSB services on VMNSBPRO1APP02 in case these start faulting as a result of recycling the app pools. Restarting these services will have no impact on operational areas:

(All COP Bus Adapter windows services can be restarted any time (even during office hours) without any impact on operations. However, recycling the REST API application pools will impact Portal if users are accessing the API at the point of recycling app pools.)


2. If this is not the issue / does not resolve the issue, investigate the console messages within the browser when a login is attempted. Request that an Environment Engineer check that the API site on VMSRVPRO1APP02 has been stopped. If it has, request that it is restarted.

3. If Portal logins on Chrome are successful but unsuccessful in Edge, Edge may display the following error message:

If this is the case, it may be that the ROOT REST API site on both VMSRVPRO1APP01 & VMSRVPRO1APP02 need to be stopped then started again (even if they are showing as started).
