Password Reset Guide

Summary

This guide explains how to change your password. For security reasons you will need to update this every 8 week. The Password will need to contain a capital letter, number and punctuation. Also, it can’t be similar to a previously used password.

Working from home 

On your work laptop click on either the Fresh or Pulse icon or the following link: https://stepchange.okta-emea.com/ 

Sign in with your @cccs.co.uk email, current password and okta code.

On fresh and pulse this should prompt the password change. If yu use the link please follow the below.

In the top right corner of the page, you will see your name. Click on this and from the drop downs that appear click on ‘settings’

In the top right corner of the page click the ‘Edit Profile’ button (this will prompt you to enter your current password and a Okta Code)

You will now be able to use the Change Password box to update your password.

The next sets are for fresh, pulse and the link.

Log into the VPN using the new password. 

On your keyboard press and hold CTRL, ALT and then press DEL.

Click lock and re log into your laptop using your new password. 

In office

Ensure the laptop is connected to the WI-FI: StepChange.

On your keyboard press and hold CTRL, ALT and then press DEL.

Click ‘Change a password’ 

FAQ’S

Q: I have changed the password but the laptop wont except the new password. What should I do?

A: Log into the laptop using your old password. Log onto the VPN using the new password. Once this has connected press CTRL, ALT + DELETE, click on lock and log in again this time using the new password.

Q: I have forgotten my password and can’t log into the laptop. What should I do?

A: Please contact the Service desk time. We may need you to come to the office to apply the fix.

Q: I’ve forgotten my password and can’t access the OKTA Self -Service. What should I do?

Head back to the login page using the following link https://stepchange.okta-emea.com/

Underneath the password field you will see “Need Help Signing In” Click on this and then choose the “Forgotten Password” link

Q.  I’m not set up for the OKTA Self-Service, so the process doesn’t apply to me. What should I do?

Follow the process under working from home using the link provided. When you are on the edit profile page go down to the forgotten password questions box.
