DCS and Direct Debits
Summary
This article is for awareness of the change made on 26/May/2022 regarding access to the Direct Debits set up.
PDD Access
Previously you could amend Direct debits through DCS using the Icon shown below.
The web page linked to this was retired and this icon should no longer be used. Instead access to the Direct debit system (PDD) is now done through RDS Web.
There is a link to the PDD system within the StepChange folder which may grant access, if this doesn’t work or has been decommissioned please follow the below.
Set up guide
Navigate to the StepChange folder on your desktop and open RDS.
Log in using your windows sign in information (the username will be the same as the start of your @cccs.co.uk email, don’t include the @cccs.co.uk and the password is the one your used to log onto your laptop)
From the apps that are available open Microsoft Edge.
A prompt will appear in the top right of your screen — click "Open file".
Next open your file explorer ( you can find this by searching for it in your windows task bar).
Navigate to downloads and right click "cpub-msedge" file that just downloaded and select "Properties" - In the new window, at the bottom tick "Unblock" and apply.
Now double click on the "cpub-msedge" file you just downloaded and sign in with your windows password when prompted.
(To make access to this easier in the future you can drag and drop this file onto your desktop and rename it if you’d like to)
A remote Edge browser will now open — look for its icon in your taskbar.
Once this has opened click to sign in and sync data.
Next at the top type in: edge://compat and click "Force Update":
Now in the address bar at the top, type in: /pdddde and hit enter and the PDD system should now load up!
FAQ’S
Q: Why was this change made?
A: This was removed as the link to the DD system through DCS was through internet explorer which is also no longer in use. It is also a safer way to manage Direct debits.
Q: I followed all the steps, but the system isn't loading. What should I do?
Try signing out and back into Edge using the top-left circle icon. If the issue still persists, please contact the IT Service Desk for further support.
Q: Can I keep the shortcut?
A: Yes, you can drag the RDP file to your desktop and rename it for convenience.
Q: What should I do if I’m having issues with Direct Debits?
A: Please search the solutions articles and if you still need further support raise a ticket in Fresh.
