Outlook – Items Stuck in Outbox

Restart outlook

 In some cases, the network connection has been interrupted and doing this should enable the message to be sent. Its also advised that you restart the laptop as well, ensuring a fresh connection

Internet connectivity

open www.google.co.uk and type in speed test, please do this on and off the vpn. Next go to the following website Ping, a webtool to test the stability of your internet connection (ping test) , click test your connection and then click start. Allow this to run for a few minutes. If this test shows as a ping over 100 or the speed and download speed look slow please contact your network provider.

Storage Limit Reached

 Emails get stuck here when the storage limit has been reached, please delete old, unused and larger emails from your inbox.

Additional Steps

If the above don’t work please raise a fresh ticket and the Service desk team will support.

While there are other steps that can be taken such as clearing the cache in outlook these are usually complex or further investigation is needed.
