Problem Number: 427

Affected System: DMS, DCS

Issue summary

This presents as multiple error messages showing from DMS and DCS. (Examples Below).

Users will be unable to use DMS and preform actions in other applications such as DCS that rely on DMS data base.

 

 

Current Workaround

End users should raise a ticket. This will be checked in the normal escalation order of Service desk, App support and then the DBA team.

The DBA team will find what’s blocking DMS and will be able to remove this.

Permanent Solution / Accepted Workaround

The root cause has been identified and there have been no new incidents raised in the last 6 months as of November 2025.

If this occurs pass to DBA who will investigate:

  1. What is blocking the process on the DMS Database
  2. An archiving job that has over run
